COVID-19 infection rates continue to fall as 147 new cases confirmed

COVID-19 infection rates are continuing to fall in Warrington, with 147 new cases confirmed in the latest data – the first time they have fallen below 200 since the second week in December.

A total of 147 (206) new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed by the UK Health Security Agency in the latest daily data, taking the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 59,798 (59,651).

Infection rates over a seven-day period have fallen again to 1,687 (1,747) – 805.6 (834.3) per 100,000 population which are now below the national average of 947.5 (954.2) per 100,000, which have started to fall again after recent increases.
