SADLY one-more COVID-19 related death has been confirmed at Warrington Hospital, while inpatient numbers of also risen slightly, although infection rates are continuing to fall in the town.
A total of 279 (365) new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed by the UK Health Security Agency in the latest daily data, taking the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 56,118 (55,839).
Infection rates over a seven-day period have fallen for a third consecutive day to 4,110 (4,437) – 1,962.8 (2,118.9) per 100,000 population but are still well above the national average of 1,585 (1,700.9) per 100,000, which have fallen again over a seven day period.
While one more death has been reported inpatient numbers have also increased slightly from 84-87 while a further 10 patients have been discharged.
