No new COVID-19 deaths but infection rates continue to rise with 655 new cases

WHILE no new COVID-19 related deaths have been reported at Warrington hospital, and inpatient numbers have fallen marginally, infection rates are continuing to rise in the town with 655 new cases.

A total of 655 (708) new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed by the UK Health Security Agency in the latest daily data, taking the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 52,121 (51,466).

Infection rates over a seven-day period have risen again to 4,816 (4,624) – 2,299.9 (2,208.2) per 100,000 population which are well above the national average of 1,791.7 (1,725) per 100,000, which also continue to rise.

While no further deaths have been reported for a second day, Hospital inpatient numbers have also fallen slightly from 101-99 while a total of 13 patients have been discharged since yesterday.
