Bid to trace man who verbally abused and spat at female rail worker at Central Station

BRITISH Transport Police are seeking help to identify a man who verbally abused and spat at a female member of staff as he boarded a train at Warrington’s Central Station with a bicycle.

Officers investigating the assault at Warrington Central station have released CCTV images in connection with the incident.

At just after 5.30pm on Sunday 19 December, the man tried to board a train at Central Station with his bicycle when a member of rail staff asked him to wait while other passengers alighted.

He barged the victim, boarded the train and verbally abused her. When asked to leave he told her to f*** off and spat at her.

He then got off the train and exited the station.

Officers believe the man in the CCTV images may have information that could help their investigation.
