Orford Pharmacy working harder to vaccinate Warrington

ORFORD Pharmacy is maintaining their COVID-19 vaccination site at Bewsey to combat the new variant over the festive season with walk-in jabs available.

Due to the recent rise in cases, the government brought their vaccination goals forward to vaccinate all over 18s by the end of the year.

Recent UK figures (19 Dec) show 81,000 new cases, a sharp increase from 46,000 just one month earlier (19 Nov).

To assist in the fight against COVID-19, Orford Pharmacy’s vaccination centre is offering Walk-in jabs to all individuals over the age of 18, as well as to anyone who books via the NationalBooking Service. Their vaccination site is located at WIA, Lockton Lane, Bewsey, Warrington, WA5 0BF.

Staff are working extra hours to accommodate for the rise in demand for Walk-in vaccinations – a necessary step to combat the impact of the circulating virus.

Over the last seven days to Dec 19 Warrington had experienced a 36.8% increase in COVID-19 cases compared to the previous week. Therefore, everyone is encouraged to get their jabs if they are
eligible.

Needless to say, the vaccination programme is extremely important to curb the impact of these figures. While cases are increasing, it is worth noting the number of deaths caused by
COVID-19 are much lower than they were last year.

While the virus is continuing to spread, a vaccinated population means more people are protected against its effects.
Walk-in opening times for Orford Pharmacy’s vaccination centre are as follows:
Dec 22, 29, 30 Dec: 10:00am – 1:00pm / 2:00pm – 5:30pm
