Sixty new jobs – a great celebration for Christmas

THE Amazon delivery station in Warrington is celebrating its first Christmas – having created 60 jobs since it opened in September.

The 18,800 square metre building at Omega Park is fully operational and serving customers across Warrington.

It has also created new driver opportunities for independent delivery service partners and Amazon Flex delivery partners.

Delivery station manager Simon Magee (pictured), said: “We’re excited to celebrate our first Christmas in Warrington.
“The team is ready to deliver for our customers ahead of a great festive shopping season.”

Delivery stations power the last mile of Amazon’s order process and help speed up deliveries for customers. Packages are shipped to a delivery station from neighbouring Amazon fulfilment and sortation centres, loaded into delivery vehicles and delivered to customers.

Amazon is also offering entrepreneurs the opportunity to build their own business delivering packages, as well as independent contractors the flexibility to be their own boss and create their own schedule delivering for Amazon Flex.
