Infection rates continue to rise as 179 new COVID-19 cases confirmed

ANOTHER 179 new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Warrington in the latest daily data, as infection rates continue to rise in the town.

The 179 (163) new cases reported by the UK Health Security Agency, takes the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 40,308 (40,129).

Infection rates in Warrington have risen for a second consecutive day to 1,126 (1,101) – 537.7 (525.8) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period which remains above the national average of 501.2 (502.1) per 100,000, which have fallen marginally.
