Latest COVID-19 hot spots revealed as most areas of Warrington showing increases with 1,113 new cases in a week

MOST areas of Warrington saw an upward trend in new COVID-19 cases in the latest small area data, with central areas of the town showing some of the highest infection rates.

While infection rates have dipped slightly in the latest daily figures for the past two days, the overall trend is up, with cases of the new Omicron variant now suspected to be in the town.

The latest data published yesterday, December 9, for the week ending December 4, show COVID-19 infection rates in Warrington had risen to 1,113 new cases in a seven-day period compared to 936 the previous week and 827 the week before that.
