A road closure is looming on the southbound carriageway of Cromwell Avenue in Westbrook, Warrington, in the New Year for up to six days.

Warrington Borough Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving on Cromwell Avenue (southbound traffic) from its junction with Westbrook Way to its junction with Westbrook Crescent.

The Order will be effective from 10th January 2022 for six days, between 8pm and 6am, when signed on site.

Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Westbrook Way and Westbrook Crescent.

The closure is required to allow Vodafone to carry out a telecom site upgrade.
