ONE more COVID-19 death has sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital while infection rates are continuing to rise with 170 new cases confirmed in the town.
Meanwhile, the 170 (168) new cases reported by Public Health England, take the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 39,454 (39,284).
Infection rates in Warrington have continued to rise to 1,133 (1,087) – 541.1 (519.1) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period and remain above the national average of 478.9 (468.8) per 100,000, which have also risen again.
While one more COVID-19 related death has been reported at Warrington Hospital, inpatient numbers have remained at 26, including five in ICU, while two further patients have been discharged.
