Fire crews tackle car blaze on M56 at Stretton

TWO fire crews were called out earlier today (Friday) to tackle a car blaze on the M56 eastbound carriageway at Stretton.

Two fire engines attended, one from Warrington and one from Lymm shortly before 1pm between junctions 10 and 9 on the M56

On arrival, no one was inside the car.

A firefighter wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to put out the flames and make the car safe.

A thermal imaging camera was used to look for hotspots.
