AS 2021 comes to a close we reflect on the last year as one which has been difficult for everybody. Adjusting to life with COVID-19 has been a challenge for everyone, not least the Heritage Centre.

With a lot of hard work and determination from our volunteers we have managed to reopen and regain the momentum we had pre COVID. It has been rewarding and humbling to see people visiting us as the Country eased out of lockdown.

We would like to give a special thanks to everyone who has visited us since we reopened at the end of June.

Especially pleasing has been the number of school visits we have had in the last 6 months with more scheduled to pay us a visit throughout December.

This year, for the first time, we will be opening up the Heritage Centre to the general public, in December.

The dates of our winter opening will be as follows:
• 27th and 28th November
• 3rd, 4th and 5th December
• 10th, 11th and 12th December
• 17th, 18th and 19th December
The opening hours will be 2:30 until 5.00pm.

We will then be closed for our usual winter maintenance work, from 20th December 2021 to 19th February 2022. This will allow us to carry out essential tasks, as well as introduce a new building with another fantastic display, as we seek to improve and expand upon what the Heritage Centre has to offer.

We will reopen on the 19th February 2022, recommencing with our normal opening hours of 2:30-5:00pm, Wednesday to Sunday.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and most importantly a happy and healthy 2022, when we look forward to welcoming many more new and returning visitors.
