COACHES and players at Latchford Albion made an early return to pre-season training in an attempt to get ahead  of the opposition for next season.
Although still awaiting official confirmation, Albion should be plying their trade in the NWML Premier Division next year, following their outstanding performance in the 2021 season.
Hopefullyl, the early start to training will give the team a great advantage when the season gets under way in February or March.
Coach Martyn Ellis said: ” When we discussed the idea of an early start, the players were 100 per cent behind the decision. We want to capitalise on the momentum we are generating and head into this new challenge fully prepared.
“I have coached in the Premier Division so I am aware of what the challenge is ahead. The differences are the small margins, and by getting additional training sessions , we hope this will be vital to have that little edge which would just get us over the line in close encounters.
“The first training session was just a light run out, but the turnout was fantastic, to get so many players on a cold and wet November evening, certainly shows to me the players are ready for the next challenge ”
Training is every Thursday at 8pm on the new 4G training facility at Albion’s Victoria Park  Arena home.
Albion are currently recruiting new, open age players. Anyone interested should contact Martyn Ellis on 07976 777563 or Michael Byron 07769 788995
