One more COVID-19 death as infection rates rise slightly

ONE more COVID-19 death has sadly reported at Warrington Hospital while infection rates in the town have risen slightly again, although remain below the national average which is also rising.

The 95 (109) new cases reported by Public Health England, take the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 36,529 (36,434).

Infection rates in Warrington have risen again slightly to 771 (752) – 368.2 (359.1) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period but remain below the national average of 376 (364.8) per 100,000, which have increased again.

While one more death has been reported at the hospital, COVID-19 inpatient numbers of risen from 25-27, while four patients have been discharged in the past 24 hours.
