POLICE are seeking witnesses following a significant increase in deliberate fires in and around the Orford Park area of Warrington.
The arson attacks have mainly involved wheelie bins and have resulted in damage to the skatepark area within the park and a play area on Hallfields Road.
Anyone with information regarding this issue please contact the police via 101.
Parents are also being urged to make their children aware of the consequences of playing with fire.
Meanwhile, firefighters who have been called out on at least eight occasions in recent weeks to tackle the deliberate fires have warned that while they are dealing with these incidents, they could be delayed from responding to a 999 emergency.
