WARRINGTON & Vale Royal College was delighted to welcome a vast range of local employers to its annual Employer Week.

The eventful week, which started on Monday 18th October, allowed students to engage in valuable interactions with industry experts and even boost their employment prospects.

Throughout the week, visitors from 28 local businesses attended the college to deliver guest speeches, share employability advice and discuss future work experience opportunities. The companies in attendance included Lane End Construction, Army Careers, Weaver Vale Housing Trust, Thermo Fisher Scientific, AVON, and Residential Management Group.

Warrington & Vale Royal College students benefitted greatly from the week and enjoyed the opportunity to engage with industry professionals, who represented various industries including hair and beauty, construction, engineering, business, and IT.

Many of the employers who visited the college during Employer Week were keen to offer work placements or even recruit for new apprentices. This could lead to fantastic opportunities for the college’s students, greatly enhancing their practical skills and industry knowledge.

Faye Hennessey, Warrington & Vale College’s Employment Engagement Manager, said: “Employer week at Warrington & Vale Royal College was a huge success. The employers visited various curriculum areas to meet students and tutors and offered insights as to what local employers are looking for from the next generation. It was a brilliant week for all involved.”
