30 mph speed limit extended on A50 Knutsford Road

A new 30 mph speed limit comes into force on a previously derestricted stretch of the A50 Knutsford Road at Grappenhall, Warrington, from today.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 81, 82 and 83 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on 13th October 2021.
The effect of the Order is to extend the existing 30 mph speed limit further along the derestricted section of road on A50 Knutsford Road, this new limit will be from its junction with A56 Chester Road to a point 575 metres south east of the same junction, therefore now becomes a restricted road.
The Order will be effective from today, 14th October 2021. Deposited documents may be viewed on-line at https://www.warrington.gov.uk/permanent-traffic-regulation-orders or Town Hall Reception, Town Hall, Sankey Street, Warrington, WA1 1UH between 9am & 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from 13th October 2021, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
