Lymm May Queen back on the road in September!

UPDATED: LYMM Village’s traditional May Queen was back on the road – but this time in September after being postponed earlier in the year and cancelled last year due to the pandemic.

Overcast skies soon cleared as the event was blessed with warm weather as villagers lined the streets to watch the parade to the May Queen field where Rose Bud Leah Poole and May Queen Charlotte Booker were both crowned.

Town Crier Peter Powell started proceedings as the parade was joined by the Mayor of Warrington Cllr. Maureen Creaghan, WBC Chief Executive Steven Broomhead, Warrington South MP Andy Carter and Parish Chairman Bob Barr.
Event organiser, local Cllr Kath Buckley said she was “delighted” to get the show back on the road and thanked everyone who had been involved in helping out.
