First St Rocco’s Sunset walk is a great success

MORE than 300 walkers enjoyed the dry weather and beautiful grounds of Arley Hall and Gardens on Saturday 11th September in the inaugural St. Rocco’s Sunset Walk.

Starting at 6pm, the 5Km walk traversed parkland and woodland. As the walkers and dogs approached the finish line they were welcomed by a beaming sunset as they received a medal for completing the walk (and treat bags for their furry companions!).

The walkers were entertained beforehand with music, a performance from AT School of Dance then warmed up courtesy of a session provided by Pure Gym.

Food and drink were also available from Super Bennies Food Emporium, Riley’s Ices, The Little Bake Company & La Petite Maison. Wish Upon A sparkle made sure that many walkers faces were turned into glittering masterpieces.

Everybody was looked after by St. Rocco’s staff and more than 70 volunteers who generously gave up their time to help on the day.

The following companies and organisations that supported this event: Fretus Group Ltd, Pure Gym, Galliford Try, Burtonwood Generators, BT Skips, AT School of Dance, Asda, Spectrum Striders Running Club and Treat Your Dog.

Every penny raised from this event enables the charity to continue to provide patient care to the Warrington community.
