Alterations to historic Lymm Hall given the green light

PLANS have been approved for alterations to the East Wing of historic Lymm Hall.

The scheme will result in three flats being converted to a single dwelling.

Warrington Borough Council planning officers have also given Listed Building consent for the conversion at the Grade 2 Listed building.
Officers say the proposed alterations are considered sympathetic to the character of the existing building and will not detract from the overall aesthetic of the building.
They will also result in the removal of some “clutter” from the outside of the building.
Officers said there was general acceptance of the proposals which were supported by a neighbour.
But some concern was expressed over proposals for a swimming pool, which were not part of the application.
