One more COVID-19 death and 114 new cases as infection rates fall slightly again

ONE more COVID-19 death has sadly been reported at Warrington hospital while 114 cases have been reported in the town as fluctuating rates have fallen again slightly.

The 114 (86) new cases reported by Public Health England, takes the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 28,254 (28,140).



Infection rates in Warrington for the last seven days have fallen slightly again to 708 (713) – 338.1 (340.5) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period which is still below the national average of 385.9 (397.4) per 100,000, which have also fallen.
While one more death has sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital, inpatient numbers have fallen from 21-17 over the weekend with 3 in ICU.
Meanwhile, the UK has recorded 30,825 new COVID cases and 61 more coronavirus-related deaths in the latest 24-hour period.
987 deaths have been reported in the last seven days, a 25.1% rise on the week before.
And the latest data also shows the number of COVID patients admitted to hospital in the last seven days has increased to 6,917 – a 4.7% rise on a week earlier.

Across the UK the daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths reported on Monday, September 13 2021 was 61 (56), taking the total number of deaths to 134,261 (134,200).
