WARRINGTON Rotary Club’s annual Oktoberfest Beer Festival makes a welcome return next month, marking the 24th year of one of the town’s major events.
Oktoberfest 24, starts 14th October for three days until 16th October at the Parr Hall, Palmyra Square, Warrington.
Over 70 cask ales plus ciders and bottled beers from both the UK and worldwide will be on sale to raise much-needed funds for a number of charities.
A special Gin and Fizz Bar once again will add something extra to the occasion.
There will be live music at the Friday and Saturday sessions provided by well-known local bands and musicians plus hot food for sale at all sessions courtesy of ‘The Cafe at the End of the Universe’.
Details of the three-day programme will be available on social media and the club’s website http://www.warringtonoktoberfest.org.uk
Up to the present date over £300,000 has been raised for both local and international charities from previous Oktoberfest beer festivals.
Warrington Rotary President, Sam Addison commented, “This year, should be a bumper year following last year’s cancellation due to the Covid pandemic, with interest being shown by people from all over the northwest and further afield.
“To help us celebrate and to help those who need it most we are inviting more people than ever to sponsor our beers. If individuals, groups or companies would like to join in and offer a sponsorship to have a beer with their name on it plus a listing in the programme, we will only be too pleased.”
