Lions Family Fun Day at Lymm Rugby Club

LYMM Rugby Club re-launched events in style, following the pandemic lockdown, on Saturday 31 July with a Lions Family Fun Day in the club’s Walled Garden at the weekend.

The Big Screen kept 200 parents quiet watching The Boks beat the Lions 27-9 while over 60 children had great fun on the inflatable obstacle course, Giant Jenga, competing in a Rugby Skills competition and having their faces painted as lions.

“It was great to see so many people and kids having a great day together as the Lockdown gets lifted,” commented Simon Plumb, one of the organisers.
Volunteers manned the BBQ and the bar in the marquee was busy all day.
“We are planning a series of events including the world famous Lymm Panto at the end of November, all being well, along with a number of fundraisers. The Walled Garden lends itself to great parties and is available to hire,” he added.
