POLICE have been made aware of concerns raised by residents regarding suspected poisonings of cats in the Birchwood area of Warrington.

While the cause is currently unknown, some residents of Woodhouse Close have raised their concerns with local police.

Police warn some common garden plants and products can also be poisonous to cats and other pets.
For example, daffodils, tulips, lilies and rhododendrons are all toxic to cats when ingested and can be fatal.
If you live in or near to the area, please take a moment to consider whether there are any hazards present in your garden, and consider applying cat repellent if you do identify any hazards.
Anyone who notices anything that they think may be linked to this, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with police on 101.
