Hospital COVID-19 inpatient numbers continue to rise as 183 new cases reported in Warrington

WARRINGTON Hospital’s COVID-19 related inpatient numbers are continuing to rise, while another 183 new cases have been reported in the town- a total of 1,433 in a week.

While one patient has been discharged in the last 24 hours, inpatient numbers have risen from 22-24 with eight now in intensive care.



The 183 (147) new COVID-19 cases take the total number of confirmed cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 23,013 (22,830).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days have risen again, with 1,433 (1,355) – 682.3 (645.2) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period– well above the national average of 488 (472.3) per 100,000, which also continues to rise.
Meanwhile, the UK has recorded 39,906 new COVID-19 cases and 84 more coronavirus-related deaths in the latest 24-hour period.
A further 45,101 first doses have been administered in the UK, taking the total to 46,433,845.
This represents 87.8% of the adult population and 183,338 more second jabs have been given, meaning 36,587,904 people are now fully vaccinated – 69.2% of adults.
