Warrington Town to open new season at home to FC United

WARRINGTON Town will open their Pitching In Northern Premier League 2021/22 campaign at home to FC United of Manchester.

The opening game of the season takes place on Saturday August 14, some 284 days since the Yellows’ last league game which was, ironically, away at FC United on November 3.

It will be the first competitive game at Cantilever Park since October 31, though the club will welcome Football League sides Tranmere Rovers and Accrington Stanley for home friendlies later this month.

There are only two home games in the first seven rounds of fixtures for the Yellows, though they do end the season with four home games out of five.

The last regular-season game is at home to Matlock Town on April 23, with the play-off final scheduled for the following Saturday.
