COVID-19 infection rates rise again in Warrington as 116 new cases confirmed

NEW COVID-19 infection rates have risen again in Warrington the latest data from Public Health England, after yesterday’s brief fall, with another 116 cases reported in the town.

Meanwhile Another 31,772 COVID-19 cases and 26 deaths have been reported across the UK in the latest 24-hour period and cases in the past week have risen by just over 27% compared with the previous week, while deaths have risen by two thirds.



The 116 (118) new COVID-19 cases take the total number of confirmed cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 20,970 (20,854).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days have risen again, with 782 (751) – 372.4 (357.6) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period– and are still well above the national average of 298.1 (286.3) per 100,000, which continues to rise.
