A stretch of the A49 at Appleton, Warrington, is set to have road closures for up to seven weeks for carriageway surfacing works later this month.
Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway on the A49 Tarporley Road from the M56/Northwich Road roundabout to the Borough Boundary.
The Order will be effective from 19th July 2021 for seven weeks between 7:00pm & 1:00am, when signed on site.
Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The alternative route will be via A49 London Road, A56 Walton Road, A56 Walton New Road, A56 Chester Road, A533 Northwich Road and vice versa. The closure is required for carriageway surfacing.
