Road set to be closed at Lymm for repairs to damaged sewer

A Lymm road is set to closed for up to a week to allow repairs to a damaged sewer.

Warrington Borough Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to introduce a prohibition of driving on Booths Hill Road from its junction with Cherry Lane to its junction with Eagle Brow.



The Order will be effective from 31st July 2021 for 1 week, when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The alternative route will be via Camsley Lane, Stockport Road, Knutsford Road, Cliff Lane, West Lane, High Legh Road, Higher Lane, Church Road and vice versa.
The closure is required to allow United Utilities to carry out works on a damaged sewer.
