WHILE new COVID-19 cases are continuing to rise, with another 90 confirmed in Warrington, hospital inpatient numbers are continuing to fall this week.
There are currently seven inpatients at Warrington & Halton Hospitals NHS Trust, with one in intensive care, with a further three patients discharged since yesterday.
But while hospital admissions have fallen in Warrington they have risen nationally.
The 90 (163) new COVID-19 cases take the total number of confirmed cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 19,715 (19,462).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days have risen again, with 558 (521) – 265.7 (248.1) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period– well above the national rate of 157 (145.4) per 100,000, which also continues to rise.
