Road closures looming in Lymm

TWO road closures are looming in Lymm to allow BT to carry out pole installation works in the village.

Warrington Borough Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce a prohibition of driving on Whitbarrow Road from its junction with Statham Avenue to its junction with The Poplars.



The Order will be effective from 28th June 2021 for three days, when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works.
The alternative route will be via Stockport Road, Camsley Lane, Booths Hill Road, Eagle Brow, Brookfield Road and vice versa. The closure is required to allow for British Telecom to carry out pole installation works.

The council has also made an order to introduce a prohibition of driving as follows: Reddish Crescent from its junction with Bollin Drive to its junction with Reddish Lane; Reddish Lane from its junction with Reddish Crescent for a distance of 150 metres in a northerly direction.
The Order will be effective from 28th June 2021 for two days, when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the relevant Contractor for the duration of the works. The alternative route will be via Rushgreen Road, Birchbrook Road and vice versa. The closure is required to allow for BT to install new poles.
