Live music makes a come-back at Lymm care home

RESIDENTS and guests at Cheshire Grange Care Home, Lymm Welcomed back their first live music performance since lockdown restrictions came into force last year.

Accordionist John Jones entertained the residents with an outdoor performance, playing many old time favourites including Que Sera Sera and Daisy Daisy along with more traditional accordion folk songs.

John a favourite at Cheshire Grange for several years made sure he reached as many residents as possible by playing at the bedroom windows of those who weren’t able to attend the garden performance,
A request for Abba’s Dancing Queen from a family who were visiting at the time brought much joy to the family at a particularly difficult time.
The hospitality team at the home provided a range of mocktails for residents to enjoy during the show including a Barchester Buckaroo and a Lymm Lime Fizz.
General manager Dawn Holsgrove-Smith said: “Our residents had a wonderful afternoon singing along to tunes that they loved, for a brief moment we all could forget what was going on in the outside world and just relax with our residents in the afternoon sunshine. We do our best to provide a wide range of activities and entertainment at Cheshire Grange as part of the lifestyle enrichment programme for residents, and this was one was one of our favourites.”
