POLICE have issued a warning following a spike in shed-breaks and thefts of high-value pedal cycles which appear to have been targeted across Birchwood.

People who own high-end bicycles are being warned by local police to keep them as securely as possible.

A police spokesperson said: “If you have CCTV, ensure it is in working order. If you use Strava or a similar route-tracking app, ensure your settings are set to private so that personal information cannot be gleaned from your posts.
“Do get in touch if you witness any suspicious behaviour by phoning 101.
