FIREFIGHTERS from Birchwood were called out earlier today when a pit fire spread to a garden fence, setting it well alight.
One crew was called out from Birchwood shortly after 12.45pm to a property on Valiant Close following reports of a fence well alight.
The fire had spread from a pit to the garden area.
A hose reel was used to put out the flames.
There were no reports of any injuries.
