Residents at a Lymm care home recently enjoyed a pamper day as they welcomed back their in-house hairdresser whose last visit had been in March last year, days before Covid restrictions came into force.

The salon doors at Cheshire Grange were opened again and the ladies and some of the gents enjoyed the experience of ‘being at the hairdressers’ whilst in-house hairdresser Jane was busy with rollers, scissors and her hairdryer, while the activities team and care staff were continuing the pampering theme with hand massages and manicures.

Dawn Holsgrove-Smith General Manager at Cheshire Grange Care Home said: “It’s always a lovely treat to be pampered, and our residents deserve it. We do our best to provide a wide range of activities and entertainment as part of the lifestyle enrichment programme for residents. Living in a care home doesn’t put a stop to celebrating life, and our engaging activities are designed to be enjoyed by all who want to join in.”
Mary, a resident at the home was able to enjoy a shampoo and set. Mary said “I feel like me again and not an old lady.”
Cheshire Grange care home is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, which is committed to delivering high-quality care across its care homes and hospitals. Cheshire Grange provides residential care and nursing care.
