Man remanded in custody after alleged sex act in Warrington cemetery

A 48-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged with indecent exposure after allegedly performing a sex act in Warrington Cemetery.

Neil Howarth, aged 48, of Leonard Street, Warrington, appeared before the town’s magistrates yesterday, Wednesday, charged with indecent exposure and was remanded in custody until June 16.
He was arrested following an incident involving a naked man being captured on dash cam footage outside the cemetery on Manchester Road.



A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “On Wednesday, June 9, at 11.09am, police were called to the cemetery on Manchester Road following reports of indecent exposure.
“Police arrested a man on Manchester Road, and he was subsequently charged with exposure.
“Neil Howarth, 48, of Leonard Street, appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court on June 10 and has since been remanded in custody.
“He will next appear on June 16.”
