Just one COVID-19 inpatient at Warrington hospital as 68 new cases confirmed

WHILE new coronavirus cases in Warrington continue to rise, with 65 confirmed in the latest data from Public Health England, there is currently just one COVID-19 positive inpatient in the town’s hospital.

The 65 (28) new COVID-19 cases is the highest since 66 on Feb 11 and takes the total number of confirmed cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 18,306 (18,241).



Meanwhile, Cases in Warrington for the last seven days continue to rise, with 167 (128) – 79.5 (60.9) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period– which is now well above the national rate of 55.2 (51.7) per 100,000, which also continues to rise.
COVID-19 inpatient numbers at Warrington & Halton Hospitals remain low, at just one.
Warrington & Halton Hospitals has reintroduced its daily reporting of figures Monday-Friday, excluding Bank Holidays.
