POLICE are seeking witnesses after a young family at Culcheth, Warrington, found themselves victims of mindless Criminal damage when their house window and car windscreen were smashed on Saturday night at around 21.00.

The culprits are believed to have used a silver Ford hatchback car during the act of vandalism on Church Lane in the village.

Police who made a reassurance visit to the family home are now appealing for help to trace the culprits.
Anyone who saw the car or has CCTV footage to help identify those responsible is urged to call 101.
Meanwhile in another incident in the village police also made a reassurance visit to a person who has fallen victim to a romance confidence trickster.
A very sad story If you do have older relatives who may be lonely.
Check-in with them and ask them about their Internet use and anyone they are talking to. Especially online dating sites. It’s not nosey and could just prevent broken hearts and financial hardship.
