Town centre bar PJs to close for weekend after staff test positive for COVID-19

WARRINGTON town centre bar PJs will close at the weekend after five members of staff tested positive for COVID-19.

PJs on Bridge Street made the announcement on social media earlier today, following support and advice from Public Health England and Public Health Warrington.



It is understood the five members of staff who tested positive for COVID-19 were all aged between 20-30 and although two had symptoms, resulting in testing, none are seriously ill.
The announcement on social media said:

“Due to the rise in Corona Virus cases in the area some of our staff have tested positive after last weekend. With the support and advice from Public Health England and Public Health Warrington we have collectively agreed for the safety of the staff and customers we Will Not be opening this weekend Friday 11th & Saturday 12th. Apologies to anyone who has booked in, we hope you understand. Please stay safe and we hope to see you all next week.”

Management said they are confident the bar will be open for the following weekend.
