WARRINGTON Town will play four home friendlies ahead of the 2021/22 Northern Premier League football season.

National League sides Southport and Chorley will visit Cantilever Park in what will be exciting fixtures for fans to return to games for the first time since October.

There are 10 scheduled friendlies for Paul Carden’s side, starting on July 10.

Chorley will visit on August 7, the week before the league season is due to start on August 14.

The squad is due to report back for pre-season training on June 19, with a number of early friendlies scheduled to give Carden the opportunity to field trialists and see some new faces in action.

Meanwhile, former Yellows midfielder Ben Garrity has joined Football League Two side Port Vale for an undisclosed fee.

Garrity, 24, turned professional in January 2020 when Blackpool paid Warrington a fee to sign him, having been a key part of the side that won the 2019 Northern Premier League play-offs.

He spent the 2020/21 season on loan at Oldham Athletic, making 29 appearances in League Two.
