DETECTIVES have launched an appeal for help from the public after a man was robbed while he was in Orford Park, Warrington, with his mobility scooter on Friday afternoon.
The 56-year-old man was in Orford Park near to the duck pond at Orford Green when he was approached by two males.
The pair stole a quantity of cash in his possession before fleeing the area on foot in the direction of Orford Green onto Birtles Road.
The robbery is believed to have occurred between 4pm and 4.30pm on Friday 4 June.
Police have been conducting a number of enquiries in the local area and are appealing for witnesses.
Detective Constable Joe Davies, from Warrington Local Policing Unit, said: “The victim was in Orford Park with his mobility scooter when the money was taken from him by two suspects who were dressed in dark clothing.
“We have been checking CCTV and patrolling the area as part of our enquiries and are also appealing to the public for information.
“I am encouraging anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen the victim, or two males running away from the park after the incident took place, to get in touch.
