Busy night for police as three drivers taken off the road

WARRINGTON Police had a busy night as three drivers were taken off the road, including two for being drunk in charge of a vehicle.

One driver was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in charge of a motor vehicle when he was more than three times the limit. He was spotted by CCTV operators drinking whilst sat in the car and attempting to drive. Officers were quickly on scene and the male blew 114 – the legal limit being 35.



In another incident, a proactive stop by one of the team resulted in a car being seized for no insurance. The driver has also been reported for driving otherwise in accordance with a driving license. The car was seized as a result.
Meanwhile, a third driver has been arrested on suspicion of being drunk in charge of a van. The van has also been seized as no valid insurance policy was in place.
