FIFTEEN new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Warrington, the highest number in a single day since early April, with infection rates also continuing to rise in the town.
The 15 (8) new COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington, in the latest daily update from Public Health England, is the highest number in a single day since April 9 when there were 16.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington since the start of the pandemic is 18,004 (17,989).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days have risen again, with 34 (30) – 16.2 (14.3) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period– but are still below half the national rate of 32.1 (30.3) per 100,000, which continues to rise.
Warrington & Halton Hospitals have temporarily suspended provided information due to a data validation exercise.
There have been no reported deaths at the hospital since April 27th and currently two COVID inpatients.
There have been a total of 497 COVID-related deaths at the hospital since the start of the pandemic.
