THE Westbrook Big Party is set to make a welcome return to Gulliver’s World on June 18.

This popular event, for people from the WA5 area, couldn’t take place in 2020 due to the pandemic, but organisers are pleased to announce its return in 2021.
Alan Guthrie, the organiser from Westbrook and Callands Communities, said: “We are thrilled to be welcoming our local community back to this popular event.
“Gulliver’s World have kindly hosted this event for the local community since its inaugural event in 2016, and while we’ve got to reduce numbers this year, due to Covid restrictions, we’ll be putting on an event to remember.”
The Westbrook Big Party runs from 5.30pm until 9pm and will be officially opened by the Mayor of Warrington.
Alan added: “We ask for a donation of £1 per adult for entry to the event and people must bring proof of WA5 residency. Pre booking is essential due to the restrictions.
“Proceeds from the sale of tickets for this year’s event will be donated to St Rocco’s Hospice in recognition of the impact Covid has had on their finances.”
This family fun event will include local community groups and clubs, emergency service vehicles, school choirs and stage dancing, a penalty shootout, access to the Burtonwood Heritage Centre and free access to selected Gulliver’s World attractions.
Mel Burrows Carr, resort manager at Gulliver’s World said: “We are so excited to be welcoming the local community back to Gulliver’s World for this fabulous family event.
“We know how much work Alan and the team of organisers put into getting this event right for the local community and it is a great opportunity for people to find out more about the clubs, activities and events that are right on their doorstep.”
Prebooking is essential for entry to this event, tickets are selling fast! To book online visit: www.gulliversfun.co.uk/westbrook
