COVID-19 infection rates show small increase as three new cases confirmed

ALTHOUGH only three new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Warrington for a second consecutive day, infection rates have shown a slight increase over a seven day period according to the latest data from Public Health England.

The three (3) new cases in Warrington in the latest 24-hour daily update from Public Health England, means the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington since the start of the pandemic are 17,935 (17,932).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days remain below the national rate at 28 (25) – 13.3 (11.9) per 100,000 population. This compares to the national rate of 23.1 (21.9) per 100,000.
