ENGLAND’S record goalscorer Wayne Rooney dropped in at training at Warrington Rylands 1906 last night, Tuesday, ahead of their Buildbase FA Vase semi-final against Walsall Wood.
Rooney, currently manager of Championship side Derby County, is a long-time client of Blues owner Paul Stretford and his Triple S sports agency visited Gorsey Lane to talk to the players as they prepared for Saturday’s game. He passed on some tips to the players about preparing for a big game.
Although Saturday’s semi-final is to be played behind closed doors due to the government’s covid restrictions virtual tickets to watch the game priced £5, including a donation to St Rocco’s Hospice, can be purchased using the link: https://ticketpass.org/event/EGPAIK/warrington-rylands-v-walsall-wood-fc
