EMPLOYEES from sustainability-focused Ingevity in Warrington, recently volunteered to help protect the planet by leading litter sweeps on Earth Day.

On April 22, thirty Ingevity employees collected over 20 sacks of debris from the Trans Pennine Trail. The team looks forward to continuing these efforts in the future.

“The socially-distanced event in Warrington was our way of keeping our local community clean, safe and tidy,” said Clare Connolly, General HR, Associate Lead, Ingevity. “It was great for employees to help with the clean-up and give something back to this beautiful place we call home.”

Ingevity’s sustainability focus includes engaging their employees through philanthropic efforts in the communities where the company operates. In the past, employees have planted trees along the Culcheth nature preserve. These Earth Day litter sweeps are an extension of those efforts as Ingevity employees worked to protect the environment in alignment with the company’s focus on conservation.
