Suspected drug dealers arrested after lengthy police chase through Sankey Valley Park

TWO men were arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply following police activity in Old Hall and a lengthy foot chase in Sankey Valley Park, yesterday evening.

After stoppinga a car in the Old Hall area of Warrington, officers approached the vehicle to speak with the occupants. However, one male didn’t want to hang around and decamped from the vehicle and ran off into Sankey Valley Park.



A quick search of the vehicle revealed a quantity of drugs and cash and as a result, the driver was quickly arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.
Meanwhile, the foot-chase continued with a number of other A block officers making to the area to search for the male.
After a prolonged chase covering a large distance, the male was subsequently caught and arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.
The two males were taken into custody and have since been interviewed and released under investigation.
