THE National Fostering Group team based in Warrington is supporting The Fostering Network’s campaign, ‘Foster Care Fortnight’.

They are inviting people to “join our adventure” and will be sharing some of their foster carer’s unique adventures into fostering, showing just how powerful fostering is in creating positive outcomes for children and young people.

As part of their adventure, they are hosting a free interactive and informative event for anyone who is considering a career in fostering.
Carer recruitment officer Paul Keats said: “The primary goal of Foster Care Fortnight is to make people aware of the need for thousands more foster families to bridge the current gap in ratio of foster carers to children needing safe and loving homes. We want to raise awareness and encourage more people to make a difference to more vulnerable children and young people’s lives.
“Making the decision to foster a child or young person is a life-changing decision and the National Fostering Group are proud to be hosting the ‘Our Home’ event on Saturday May 22, where anyone is welcome to come along to find out about fostering and ask any questions they may have.”
