VERIFICATION of votes has been completed for the Warrington Borough Council Local Elections with results expected to start coming in tomorrow afternoon – with many wondering if the national picture will be reflected in Labour-controlled Warrington.
Early indications, following verification, are that the national scene, with the Tories winning the Hartlepool by-election as well as taking control of a number of local councils, could be reflected in Warrington, with the Tories making some gains from both the Lib Dems and Labour in target seats.
Currently, with just one sitting Borough Councillor they could become the opposition group overnight.
While the Borough Council elections will be concluded tomorrow, the Parish elections will not be concluded until Sunday.
Although counting will be taking place at Warrington the result for the Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner will be announced at Widnes.
Warrington Worldwide will be at the count bringing results as they are announced.
🗳 Verification for the elections is currently underway. The borough council and Police and Crime Commissioner results will be announced tomorrow, followed by parish council results on Sunday.
